Students who live on base at Naval Station Norfolk will attend the Norfolk Public School district. Off base students will most likely attend school in Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, or Suffolk public districts. There are also over 200 private schools in the local community.
Parents enrolling their children for the first time need to bring proof of immunizations, a birth certificate, and proof of a physical exam within the past twelve months. Most schools in the Hampton Roads area offer before/after school programs, adult/alternative education, and special education.
